The Encanto Citizens Association was organized to further awareness of the Encanto area, continue the preservation of this historic enclave, and to preserve the attributes of the Encanto - Palmcroft Historic Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior.  

Furthermore, it is our intention to maintain the tranquility of our neighborhood, free from commercial and/or business encroachment, noise and air pollution, and to insure freedom from any project that may arise contrary to, or detrimental to, our National Register listing. 

We cooperate with surrounding neighborhood associations when their aims coincide with ours to maintain the integrity of the downtown historic areas. 

We maintain and increase the safety and security of our neighborhood by keeping homeowners advised of situations and events that may require group action via our newsletter.
